Refuting outrightly the allegations leveled against government machinery by Omar Abdullah and Mehbooba Mufti over stopping the non-BJP candidates from campaigning freely, senior BJP leader and former Deputy Chief Minister Kavinder Gupta today said that hullabaloo made by these two former Chief Ministers of J&K has no basis rather these concocted stories are being spread to mislead people as the defeat of NC and PDP in the upcoming DDC polls is inevitable.

The BJP stalwart who visited Valley on Sunday to hold meetings with party activists and people in connection with DDC polls said that restlessness shown by scions of dynastic political parties NC and PDP by cooking feigned stories is due to the fact that both Omar and Mehbooba have foreseen their bleak future in the political arena of J&K as their trail of unending lies and deceits has been exposed extensively and there are no more takers of their ‘glum prone’ agenda of befooling public again and again.

Countering the claim on depriving the non-BJP candidates from campaigning, Gupta said that ground situation in Kashmir is exactly opposite to what is being projected as there is complete freedom for candidates of all hues in poll fray and campaigning is going on with full swing.

The former Deputy Chief Minister said that negative campaign launched by NC and PDP leaders over the curbs on campaigning will not help these parties in any way rather there is every chance that this ‘deceitful move’ may boomerang and further diminish their prospects as people are witness to the fact that every candidate is doing his or her bit to get best results in DDC polls with no extra constraint whatsoever.

Giving detailed account of public welfare schemes which the BJP-led central government has ensured to the people of J&K for the very first time, the senior BJP leader said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi holds special affinity towards people of the UT and every step the government under his realms is taking is for the betterment of common masses. He said already crusade against corrupt and delinquent has been launched in J&K to dismantle the castles made by them with unprincipled wealth accumulated through corruption and soon this clout set up by unscrupulous will collapse like house made of playing cards and a transparent and accountable governance model will be established giving fair justice to everyone living in the UT.

The former Deputy Chief Minister asked people not to fall prey to dynastic political parties and linger on once again the process of development. He sought complete majority of BJP in DDC polls through public support for ensuring endless progress, prosperity and peace.
